Mug-Muguga Sacco is established under the umbrella of Mug-Muguga Enterprises Ltd which was done under the chairmanship of Lt Col. (rtd) J.K. Muiruri, (HSC, FIMS (UK), Cgsc,(USA) who was the founder chairman of Mug-Muguga Enterprises Ltd
Mug-Muguga Sacco was registered in the year 2010 with the primary objective of mobilizing funds and advancing loans to members /Groups at a reasonable rate and thereby empowering its member’s economically.
The Sacco draws its individual or group membership from Mug-Muguga Enterprises Ltd which is an investment company whose membership is based on the 34 family members of the parent company(Muguga Cooperative Society).
During the Sacco's AGM in April 2018, it was decided that the SACCO would be opened to the public and therefore Registration for new members is ongoing.
The Sacco has enabled members to maximize their shares in Mug Enterprises
projects, by advancing them loans. The loans are secured and covered by CIC insurance through MEPIP - Member Participation Policy.
The Sacco has continued to register tremendous growth and during the AGM in April 2018 dividends were declared for the first time at a rate of 4% of the profit of
members total deposits as at 31st December 2017. This is a clear indication that gradually there has been positive growth and we are destined to achieve our vision of becoming a Bank in the near future.
We aspire to reach the entire membership of Muguga Investment Company Ltd Descendants that has a potential of over 1000 Members and also open to the public for continued growth.

The idea of forming Mug-Muguga Enterprises Company Limited originated from some members who were Directors of Muguga Investment Company, headed by the Late Mr. Kairigo Wakahia as chairman and Board members namely Mr. Esrom Miringa, Mr. Kamau Njoro, Mr. S. Karanja Kariuki and Mr. J.Muriu Kinuthia, who passed the idea for implementation to an interim steering committee headed by Mr. J. K. Muiruri as Chairman, Mr. D. N. Kagechu, Mr. Z. M. Mungai, Mr. Joe G. Kimemia and Francis Kagwe, members who took up the challenge and responded positively and consequently the company was founded on 19th August 2000 and was registered as a company on 23rd October 2002.
The Company is managed by the board of Directors elected during AGM.
We have an Advisory team (led by their Chairman Dr. Samuel K. Gathere, Mr. Joseph N. Mungai, Ms Ruth W. Muroki and Ms. Margaret M. Mungai.) chosen from professions on various fields to advice on company investments.
